Sightline Privacy Policy

Sightline is a personal golf scorecard app. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Your data stays on your device
Every round, score, voice recording, transcript, and course you create or play is stored only on your iPhone, inside the Sightline app's local storage. If you've enabled iPhone backups to iCloud or to a computer, that data may be included in your standard device backup — we don't control or access those backups.
We do not operate any servers. We do not have user accounts. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or view any content you create in the app. Nothing leaves your device.
Permissions the app requests

Apple's on-device recognition is used where supported; audio does not leave your device for transcription unless Apple's on-device model is unavailable for your device/language, in which case Apple's speech service is used per Apple's privacy policy. |
Purchases
Optional supporter contributions and tips are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Apple shares only the fact that a purchase succeeded so the app can mark you as a supporter locally.
Diagnostics
If you've enabled "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized crash and performance data with us through App Store Connect. We use it only to fix bugs.
Your rights
Because no data leaves your device, the standard rights to access, correct, and delete your information are satisfied entirely by you uninstalling the app or using its in-app controls.
Children
Sightline is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Deleting your data
Because everything is local, deletion is straightforward:
- Delete a single round or recording — use the in-app controls.
- Delete everything — uninstall the Sightline app. All local data is permanently removed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
